Prague is a beautiful city which can be easily visited at any time of the year but it truly comes into its own during the winter months. In fact I can’t imagine a better time of the year to experience the Czech capital. With the Christmas market in full swing until January 13th, the Czechs really make the most of the city’s most magical season. The following photo edit offers but a glimpse of its Disney-like beauty. The centrepiece of the Old Town Square’s market is the Christmas tree, which is decorated with hundreds of lights and switched on every evening at 5pm. Nearby, there is a stage where Christmas concerts and plays take place regularly over the festive period. When empty, it makes a great vantage point for photographs – something to keep in mind next year if you’ve been won over by these images!

Oh looks lovely! I really need to go to Prague.. been once, to a company conference and interestingly, where I first met Mr O. But no romantic memories – and not a lot of sightseeing, so I need to go back! Xmas sounds idylic!

Oh, so beautiful. I have yet to visit Prague, though it’s on my list. I think that I have to visit during the time of year you went. Christmas markets are a favorite of mine for sure.
